Big Beaver is a borough in Beaver County, Pennsylvania. It is located in the western most part of the state, with Ohio on its western border. Big Beaver is part of the Pittsburgh Metropolitan Statistical Area, about 50 minutes away by car from Pittsburgh. According to the United States Census Bureau of 2000, Big Beaver has a population of 2,186. The borough has a total area of 18.0 square miles of which, 17.8 square miles of it is land and 0.2 square miles of it is water. The borough has a relatively low population density of 122.7 per square mile.
